Drain Cleaning Contractors
Drain cleaning contractors – cause of blocked drains
Sometimes the cause of blocked drains that need cleaning is due to a variety of reasons such as:
- Use of wet wipes that have been flushed – this is quite common with wet wipes they do not break down in a similar way to toilet tissue, therefore flushing them is always a bad idea. After a while they can create a dam which builds within the drain and eventually an entire drain blockage can occur.
- Food clogging – food can be washed down from the sink and if not rinsed well enough can clog the system. This can build up fatty deposits, which congeal when colder, leaving a blockage, requiring a cleaning contractor to clear the blockage.
- Rubble – rubble from building works and sand can be inadvertently washed into drainage systems and cause blockages. A clean of the drainage system can clear this and the contractor made away of the issues caused.
- Tree roots – sometimes tree roots will grow into drains, moving them and causing them to crack, more common with the older ceramic drains. We can identify this and advise on the options.
